A desk study research design is commonly known as secondary data collection. This is basically collecting data from existing resources preferably because of its low cost advantage as compared to a field research. Our current study looked into already published studies and reports as the data was easily accessed through online journals and libraries.

Findings: The study's findings investigated the relationship between sustainable energy investment and environmental development across multiple countries. Using panel data analysis, they found a significant and positive correlation between sustainable energy investment and indicators of environmental development, including reduced carbon emissions and improved air quality. This suggests that directing resources toward sustainable energy projects can effectively contribute to better environmental outcomes. Policymakers are encouraged to prioritize and incentivize sustainable energy investment, as it can play a pivotal role in achieving environmental goals and fostering global sustainability.

Unique Contribution to Theory, Practice and Policy: Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) Theory and Ecological Modernization Theory may be used to anchor future studies on Sustainable Energy Investment and Environmental Development. Prioritize energy efficiency measures in industries, buildings, and transportation. Collaborate with other nations to share best practices, technologies, and policies for sustainable energy and environmental development.
2023-09-10T00:00:00+03:00 Copyright (c) 2023 James Moussa https://www.iprjb.org/journals/index.php/JPID/article/view/2079 Microfinance Impact on Household Poverty Levels 2023-08-30T08:41:56+03:00 Brian Mandy journal@iprjb.org
Purpose: The aim of the study was to investigate Microfinance Impact on Household Poverty Levels

Methodology: This study adopted a desk methodology. A desk study research design is commonly known as secondary data collection. This is basically collecting data from existing resources preferably because of its low cost advantage as compared to a field research. Our current study looked into already published studies and reports as the data was easily accessed through online journals and libraries.

Findings: The study's findings highlighted that microfinance has a mixed impact on household poverty levels. While treated households experienced increased income, consumption, and investment, overall poverty reduction remained modest. Notably, the positive effects were more pronounced for households with pre-existing entrepreneurial skills. The relationship between microfinance and women's empowerment was complex, as these programs had varying impacts on income generation and decision-making among women. Furthermore, group-based microcredit programs led to improved household welfare for both genders, with females experiencing more significant poverty reductions.

Unique Contribution to Theory, Practice and Policy: Financial Inclusion Theory and Social Capital Theory may be used to anchor future studies on Microfinance impact on household poverty levels. Offer financial literacy training and business development support to borrowers. Enforce policies that protect borrowers from predatory lending practices, ensuring transparency in loan terms and preventing coercive debt collection tactics
2023-08-30T00:00:00+03:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Brian Mandy https://www.iprjb.org/journals/index.php/JPID/article/view/2088 Agricultural Investment and Food Security 2023-09-02T23:28:35+03:00 Jayden Oditi journal@iprjb.org
Purpose: The aim of the study was to investigate Agricultural Investment and Food Security.

Findings: The study revealed a complex relationship characterized by mixed outcomes. While some agricultural investments contribute positively to food security by enhancing productivity, improving infrastructure, and generating income opportunities, others can lead to land grabbing, displacement of local communities, and resource degradation, exacerbating food insecurity. The effectiveness of investments in enhancing food security hinges on factors such as the type of investment, local contexts, and policy frameworks, emphasizing the need for carefully designed and context-specific investment strategies to ensure sustainable and equitable food security outcomes.

Unique Contribution to Theory, Practice and Policy: Theory of Agricultural Transformation, Structural Transformation and Sustainable Agriculture Theory may be used to anchor future studies on Agricultural investment and food security. Encouraged farmers to diversify their crop production to reduce risks associated with mono-cropping. Enforce regulations that promote sustainable farming practices and environmental conservation to ensure the long-term viability of agricultural production.
2023-09-06T00:00:00+03:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Jayden Oditi
